IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Greetings All.
Thank you all for registering your kid(s) for the Tamil School year 2023-24. Please follow below procedures for the evaluation (if your kid has to be evaluated) and to pick-up the school supplies for all the grades.
Evaluation/School Supplies pickup:
Date - 8/19/2023, Saturday
Time - Between 1 PM - 4 PM
Place - Carmel Clay Public Library
Address: 425 E Main St, Carmel, IN 46032
Room: Community ROOM B
- Reach out to one of the Admins in the community ROOM B to get evaluated (Approach the Desk named EVALUATION).
- Evaluation takes approx. an hour for each grade. So plan accordingly. Evaluation Skill set PDF link is below.
- If you are picking up the school Supplies for your kid(s), in ROOM B approach the Desk named PAYMENT.
- If you have already paid, review your name is in the paid list.
- If you haven't paid yet, please make the checks ($120/kid) payable to "Tamil School of Central Indiana" with your kid(s) name in the memo line.
- Pick up your kid(s) school supplies.
- You will be receiving emails regarding the 1st day of the school and other details after this weekend.
Registration, Admission and Entry to the School.
இடம் & நேரம் - Location and Timings
As you all know, we will be starting this year Tamil School also in-person and based on the church availability and situation there will be few classes conducted online too. Tamil School will be on Saturday between 2 PM and 4 PM at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 3106 E Carmel Dr, Carmel, IN 46033. We are tentatively aiming for 26-Aug-2023 as the start date.
1. மாணவர் CTA சேர்க்கை பதிவு - CTA Website Registration (CLOSED)
This is very important that you register your kids at CTA website since this year we are not asking you to register in the google forms like we did before. New students, Returning students and Returning students after a break, all need to register again for 2023-24 at CTA website.
Please follow the above link and register your kid(s) in California Tamil Academy website. Fill ONLY the mandatory fields (with *). Minimum age for admission - 5 Years as of 31-Aug-2023 for KG.
At any time, you can use the new parent, new student, option if you think that is the way you can complete it. This will not affect your kids grade or registration. If you have previous CTA website credentials, you can use it. Again, you don't have to fill the correct grade and we will fill it correctly once new students evaluation complete or based on the returning students school record.
a. Please make sure you have "Tamil School of Central Indiana" under School name if not select from the list.
b. Leave the grade as "EVALUATION" (New students) and "EVALUATION or select grade that is available in the dropdown box". We will assign correct grade after you have confirmed that your kid is registered.
c. The registration will ask for volunteer, and check appropriate box that you want to volunteer. It is mandatory that you check at least one box.
d. Please send an email (to tamilkalvi@gmail.com) with kid(s) name(s) after completing the registration for us to assign the correct grade and confirm the payment.
e. If you have any issues during your CTA registration (new or returning students), please email to tamilkalvi@gmail.com or message/WhatsApp to Mohan 201-378-8681.
2. மாணவர் சேர்க்கை பதிவு - Payment Link
After you have registered your kid(s), pay through above link (Each kid $120). After validating the payment only your kids will get the school supplies/books and e-book access.
2 options to pay:
- Use above payment link to pay through square online payment (OR)
- Bring a check for $120 for each student on the first day of the school, 8/26/2023.
3. தன்னார்வலர்கள் - Volunteering
We would like to emphasize the fact we are significantly short of volunteers for Tamil school and we really appreciate your full year commitment (if possible) from you for the roles you are interested. Please sign up using the link below.
Please sign up for a role and try to get your entries within a week if possible.
